Weblogic – setup JDBC new connection

open Weblogic console, lock and edit and then goto services and Data Sources –

click on new button –

select the generic data source –

next is set new name, JNDI and click next –

Select the appropriate JDBC drivers –

Click next, I kept defaults, you can choose as per your requirements –

fill in DB details –

Next screen test the connection

Once successful, Click Finish and then Activate all changes.

Next is to assign the JDBC to a target –

Goto Services then source and click on the new JDBC created, then click on Targets and select the managed server where you want to listen to the new –
